This privacy policy explains how Alma Street Ventures' mobile application ("Kale") collects, uses, stores, and shares user information. The App is designed for a general audience and is not specifically directed at children.

Minimal Default Collection

The App does not automatically collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number, or precise location. Device preferences remain local unless users explicitly share them.

Voluntary Contributions

Users can optionally upload product information to a shared database. User-contributed product data may be visible to other users of the App as part of the shared database, but contributions remain anonymous without attached identifying information.

Future Account Features

Currently, no account creation is required. However, if and when account creation or sign-in is introduced, we will update this Privacy Policy to describe what personal data might be collected.

Analytics and Advertising

Third-party services collect non-personal usage data in aggregated or pseudonymized form to improve performance and serve ads. Users can control ad personalization through device settings.

Data Storage and Protection

User contributions are stored securely in our cloud database using providers like AWS or Firebase. Data transmits via HTTPS encryption. The organization retains information only as long as necessary for stated purposes.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent any personal information to third parties for their own marketing or other purposes. Data sharing occurs only with service providers, other users (for contributed content), or when legally required.

User Rights

Individuals can request access, correction, or deletion of personal data by contacting the company. Opt-out options exist for analytics and personalized advertising through device settings.

Children's Privacy

The app does not knowingly collect data from users under 13 and complies with applicable child protection regulations.
